  • Straight grain with fine even texture
  • Relatively free of voids and knots
  • Naturally light to dark reddish brown to medium red in color
  • Strong and dense wood
  • Excellent for outdoor applications
    • Used for wood boats
  • Very stable wood for exterior front entry doors and entryways
  • Readily accepts various stains and finishes
  • Superior to Philippine, African and White Mahogany
    • These are not actually mahogany
  • Mahogany is the preferred wood for exterior entry doors.

  • Accepts various stains and finishes, finish may absorb into grain at little different rate

  • Naturally reddish brown to medium gray or white in color
  • Moderately strong and dense wood

  • Readily accepts various stains and finishes darken in light over time may want to use an ultra-violet finish to retard darkening

  • Naturally creamy white with some pale yellow brown to pale purple streaks
  • Strong and dense wood
  • Stable wood for front doors and entryways
  • Readily accepts various stains, clear finishes and paints.  Stains best in dark colors unless looking for a rustic look, will have some splotching and variation in color if stained light.
  • Client provided paint samples can normally be matched or provide us with the paint company and number and we will find a match.
