• Excellent for outdoor applications

• Very stable wood for exterior front entry doors and entryways
• Readily accepts various stains and finishes
• Superior to Philippine, African and White Mahogany
  • These are not actually mahogany
• Mahogany is the preferred wood for exterior entry doors.

• Uneven open grain, varying grain patterns

• Mostly free of voids and knots on select grades

• Naturally golden to light brown with darker grain

• Strong and dense wood

• Acceptable for outdoor applications

• Somewhat stable wood for exterior front doors and entryways, requires special consideration in production

• Accepts various stains and finishes, finish may absorb into grain at little different rate

• Naturally creamy white with some pale yellow brown to pale purple streaks
• Strong and dense wood
• Stable wood for front doors and entryways
• Readily accepts various stains, clear finishes and paints.  Stains best in dark colors unless looking for a rustic look, will have some splotching and variation in color if stained light.
